On May 5–6, 2025, the partners of the DATA-READY project gathered for their first physical meeting at the University of the Aegean in Rhodes, Greece, officially kicking off their collaboration in person.
DATA-READY (Empowering Education through Data Literacy Integration in Compulsory Education) is a European Erasmus+ policy experimentation project running from March 2025 to February 2028. Its aim is to embed data literacy into primary and lower secondary education by developing a European skills framework, creating teacher training programs, and producing evidence-based policy recommendations.

Throughout the two-day meeting, partners discussed the planning and progress of the following Work Packages (WPs):
- WP1: Project Management & Quality Assurance
- WP2: Analysis and Identification of Best Practices
- WP3: Teacher Education (Initial and Continuous)
- WP4: Experimentation Phase
- WP5: Policy Engagement and Recommendations
- WP6: Communication, Dissemination & Sustainability
The consortium reviewed timelines, shared insights, and coordinated upcoming tasks across all areas of the project. The meeting concluded with a shared sense of purpose and strong collaborative spirit — and was followed by an official dinner, offering an opportunity for informal exchange and networking.
With this successful start, DATA-READY moves forward with ambition to shape the future of data literacy in European education.
