🚀 DATA-READY National Validation Workshops in Greece: Strong engagement from policy and classroom perspectives.
The DATA-READY project successfully completed two national validation workshops in Greece, held in Athens (15 January 2026) and Rhodes (29 January 2026), as part of the validation phase of the European Framework for Data Literacy Skills in Education.
These workshops aim to ensure that the Framework is robust, usable, and relevant across educational systems, by engaging educators, policymakers, experts, and key stakeholders in a structured validation process. Participants examined the structure, content, progression logic, and practical applicability of the Framework, providing evidence-based feedback that will directly inform the next revision cycle.
📍 Athens: Policy-level perspective
The Athens workshop was hosted at Authority for Quality Assurance in Primary and Secondary Education and brought together stakeholders from compulsory education administration and policy. Participants reviewed the initial draft of the Data Literacy Framework through the lens of system-level implementation, governance, and sustainability, leading to a highly constructive and forward-looking dialogue.
📍 Rhodes: Classroom-level perspective
The Rhodes workshop took place at the Laboratory of Pedagogy, Psychology and New Media in Education, Department of Primary Education, University of the Aegean. Here, in-service teachers from compulsory education examined the Framework from the classroom perspective, focusing on feasibility, clarity, and pedagogical usability, providing rich feedback and concrete suggestions for improvement.
🙏 Thank you to all participants
The DATA-READY team warmly thanks all participants for their expertise, openness, and commitment to co-creating a reliable, sustainable, inclusive, and practical Data Literacy Framework for learners and educators across Europe.
🌍 What’s next?
Validation workshops are currently running in the remaining partner countries (Poland, Portugal, Germany, and Cyprus), bringing the total to 10 national workshops. All results will feed into the upcoming project milestone:
📄 Deliverable D2.3 – “Workshops for Validation of the Framework” (end of February 2026).
📊 Stay tuned — important new insights and evidence are on the way!
