On 31st March 2026 our team hosted a dissemination workshop as part of the European Erasmus+ project INFINITE, bringing together educators, researchers, and stakeholders to explore one of the most pressing questions in education today: how do we meaningfully integrate artificial intelligence into teaching and learning?
Set within the broader effort to strengthen connections between Greece and Europe, the event created a space not only for presenting results, but for sharing experiences and building a common understanding around AI in higher education.
A European Project with a Clear Purpose
The INFINITE project focuses on supporting higher education institutions in navigating the growing role of artificial intelligence. Its goal is not just to introduce new tools, but to help educators understand how AI can be used responsibly, effectively, and ethically in their daily practice.
Through the project, partners across Europe are developing:
- practical resources for educators
- training opportunities for both staff and students
- digital platforms that gather tools, ideas, and examples
At its core, INFINITE aims to strengthen digital skills and encourage a thoughtful approach to innovation in education .

The Workshop Experience
The dissemination workshop offered participants the opportunity to actively engage with the project’s work. Rather than simply observing presentations, attendees interacted with key INFINITE deliverables, exploring how these outputs can be applied in real educational settings.
Participants were introduced to:
- the AI Literacy Toolkit, designed to support informed and reflective use of AI
- elements of the AI Digital Hub, showcasing tools and emerging trends
- examples of training materials and learning activities developed within the project
These hands-on interactions helped translate the project from theory into practice, allowing participants to better understand how such resources can support their own teaching and professional development .
Alongside this, discussions addressed:
- the role of AI in modern classrooms
- opportunities for enhancing teaching practices
- ethical considerations and challenges
- the importance of digital literacy in higher education
The workshop maintained a collaborative and open atmosphere, encouraging dialogue and exchange between participants from different backgrounds.
The Role of the University of the Aegean
As a partner in the INFINITE project, the University of the Aegean plays an important role in connecting European developments with local educational communities. With its strong background in digital education and pedagogical innovation, the university contributes both expertise and a commitment to meaningful change.
Hosting this workshop reinforced its role as a bridge—bringing European initiatives closer to educators and learners in Greece.
Looking Ahead
Events like this workshop are an important step in a broader process. They raise awareness, foster collaboration, and help translate project results into real-world practice.
As the INFINITE project continues, its tools and insights will support educators in adapting to an evolving educational landscape shaped by artificial intelligence.
In this context, the workshop stands as a meaningful moment of connection—linking ideas, people, and practices across borders, and contributing to the ongoing transformation of higher education.
